I have got to stop....

Very nice rifle. They certainly have a good reputation. I believe you owned a Voere at an earlier stage, did you not, Fotis?

Fotis

My grandfather has a sign in his cabin that says. I spent all my money on alcohol and women, and the rest I just wasted.

Replace either the word alcohol or women with guns and your good to go.

They make nice rifles, we do not have one however. But the caliber alone sold me

Yup my biggest regret! 270 Voere twin triggers.

I don't think you do it to yourself, Fotis. I think you subconsciously do it to torture Scotty, DrMike, and others who have admitted to being infected with RADD.

I'm immune. I have all the rifles I want.

That is just wicked, RR. Can it really be possible that someone has all the rifles they want?

Well, yes...and no.

If I had millions in the bank, I'd probably dabble more than I do. But I get to thinking sometimes when I am tempted---do I really want to take on another reloading project? It seems like I can never finish up with the load development I have on my plate already. Add to that the cost of optics (I like better stuff, not the inexpensive imported stuff)...and there's always the wood upgrades I can never seem to resist. I've got four stocks at various stages of fitting and finishing. The one caliber I have always wanted but never acquired is 6mm Remington, but having sworn of the .243 and acquired a rifle in 6mm-284, what's the point? And I'm in the middle of refurbing the stock on that one.

My interest is sporter weight rifles stocked in the classic style and I prefer blued steel and walnut, but some of them wear synthetic stocks---specifically the ones I might use as a tool to help me bust through the brush. My tastes are simple.

I guess I've learned to be satisfied with the number of rifles and choices in caliber that I have already. Maybe when the 6mm-284 is due a new barrel, I'll change it to 6mm. As it stands, I am outfitted for far more hunting that I can afford to do. There's nothing on this continent I can't kill with my current battery, so what do I really need?

Some days I think I might pare it all down to just three or four calibers, but I can't imagine which ones I'd send down the road. Ask me on a different day, though and I might think I need more. I think the bottom line is that I do not suffer the ravages of RADD. Maybe I am a freak.

Heck, man, be out of work for a while, that'll cure ya. I have quit even looking at the classifieds here and at 24HCF. I don't even think about GB or Guns America.

I used to get the daily "new guns" e-mail from Guns america. It was just too painful.... CL
