The only problem with it that I see is the 24" barrel... I know that ballistics wise there's not that much of a difference, but I want my .264 to have at least a 26" barrel.

I like it Kurt! I'm with you on the 26" barrel though. I picked up a very nice Ruger 77 in 7mag the other day and I think I'm going to rebarrel to a 264mag or 257Bee - either will have a 26" tube.

I was ALMOST about to sell mine and get a new one. Mine turned the corner though, so it is staying!
