I finally got my MRC 1999 home and put the Zeiss on her, and words cannot describe it. Action is a little stiff, but cycling it is making it smoother. All I have to do now is find some time to hit the range and do a proper break-in and accuracy test, and I will also post a review of the MRC action, which I already like, a lot.

WOW! That rifle looks excellent buddy! That looks all business and the Zeiss looks PERFECT on top of it! Way to go, I cannot wait to hear how it shoots for you.

The Zeiss fits it perfectly. I hope I put the scope on just right, will have my 'smith check it when I pick up the Vanguard 308 next Tuesday

Sweet looking rifle, I've been thinking of using a 1999 short action for a build. They seem easier to find than a M70 classic and not much more money.

Looks quite business-like. It is one of life's great pleasures to handle a new rifle, anticipating the potential hidden in that metal and plastic.

Sweet. A local shop started carrying a few Montana rifles. One there in .30-06 has really had me thinking... They seem very well built.

I'm digging that! Looks damn near the same as a Winnie extreme weather minus the flutes. What bullets you going to try?

Congratulations on a very nice rifle.
The Montana line up is a good bang for the buck with its lines, quality and accuracy. They are also offered in the RUM's.

BTW, what is all the green stuff in the background? :)

Give me one in 7 mm mag or 300 anything mag. That is all one needs.

That looks really nice, looking forward to seeing how it shoots. Have you had a chance to weigh it yet?

Good point Gerry, be nice to know what it tips the scales at..

It does have some great lines. Looks like a B&C Medalist on it..

AKHUNTER- I will be giving Nosler Accubonds a try, and not sure what else as I do not reload, yet:)

JD338- The green stuff is some plant that grows in my backyard, idk the name of it but I figured it would be a great backdrop.

Gerry and SJB- I just weighed it, and if the scale is right she weighs 9 pounds even :/. Dont know if thats a good thing or not

It would be a good weight for me but a tad heavy for my wife. I do like how it looks, I hope MRC does well with them. If they are accurate and function well they will be far ahead of a lot of gun makers these days.

MRC told me they have an accuracy guarantee of under 1" for 3 shots. We will see as soon as I can get her to the range
