Marlin Model 39 scope

I love shooting my Model 39 with a Williams receiver peep sight. My wife wears glasses and really struggles with irons of any kind.

I bought a Leupold 4x rimfire and mounted it on a weaver one piece base with weaver 1” rings but the setup seems kinda bulky. I don’t necessarily need more magnification than that but would like something a bit lighter weight. I have since sold the 4x rimfire.

What glass if any are you guys using on your Model 39’s?

I wish Burris made a compact 2x or 3x fixed power scope. I may end up buying an old M8 Leupold 2.5x or 3x.

I have an old M8 2.5x on my 45-70 Dale I’d likely get rid of if you wanna go that direction.

I’d like a 22 like that with Skinners, just like my walking guns.
