and most important of all.....

Has the 24" .840" pipe... and the old HS Precision Sendero stock. Wearing a trusty Leup. Mark AR 3-9/MD in low Talleys. Weighs 10lbs dead nutz (without the bipod/pack).... if it shoots like any of the other Sendero Specials I've had.... should be good times.

songdog,

Nice! I always liked the original Sendero.
The 7mm Rem Mag is an excellent choice for LR shooting.
You will have to give the new 7mm 150 gr, 168 gr and 175 gr AB Long Range bullets a try when they come out in the spring.

Man. If she shoots anywhere near as well as your ADL 7 maggie you're set!

I'll give them a run... the 150 interests me most. For now.... the 162 Amax will see the bulk of the duties, with an occasional 120 NBT thrown in for vermin dis-assembly when required.

CTD... I too had one in .25-06... and it is to this day one of the rifles I wish I could have back. I really dig the stock on the Special series... they hogged out the forend and saved about 4oz vs. my other Sendero stock.

Pop.... I swiped the glass off the ADL and stuck it on this rifle. I'll be shooting the same bullet (hopefully) at about the same clip.... so I just left the ballistic turret alone and mounted it on this rifle. I trust this glass... it has been twisted a lot in the last year, and run flawlessly.

It's 20 degrees, blowing about 20+ and snowing like crazy outside, no work for me today.... think it's a good day to bust out a Fat Tire, a dremel and some Marine Tex.....

Looks good man. That looks like it should be well suited to the high plains!

Don't think it will be well suited to the high peaks though.... but, I am 40 lbs lighter than I was a year ago.... so an extra pound and a half of rifle ain't that big a deal.

I have been doing a lot of shooting/hunting lately with a factory 24" ADL sporter 7RM. Wearing the same bases/glass as the rifle above... it went 8lb 10oz. Running 162 Amax at 3k with 63gr RE22, recoil is more than manageable... and I spot my own shots past 400 quite frequently. The Sendero should be more of a good thing.

Coyote dis-assembly.... I like it!

Come on down a do a little.... I bet you'll like it!

Not today though.... you looked outside?

Yes I did. Got up at 5 am!!!! Been working for 5 hours now. 8 more to go.

Your an animal.... I got up at 5 am too.... looked outside, and went back to bed.

I kinda dig the Senderos, though I haven't bought one yet. Knowing me, once I get one, I'll end up with about a half-dozen. Did Remington chamber the Sendero in .264? Never mind, I don't want to know. Crap... .25-06, 7 RM, 7 RUM, .300 WM, .300 RUM...

They sure have Kurt. Fotis ran them dry!

When they introduce the SPS Long Range you'll have a blued Sendero in a POS stock Kurt. Then you can put Mickey's on them.

Oh, I know, Nathan. I just wish the 7 RUM or STW were going to be offered. Well, I guess I could try another .300 RUM...

I bought this one thinking if the throat was toasty... I'd just punch it into a Mash.... or more appropriately a straight 7/.300 Win.
