That is a nice one. I had one like it but the bolt handle became unglued. Common problem of the first ones made.

I doubt that I'd pay too much more than that for a NH 270WSM. I had one, and it shot quite well--at least as well as my current 270WSM. Fit and finish were a tad rough, as were many of the rifles coming out of the New Haven plant in the final years. Still, it was a good shooter after a little work.

As Fotis has said, they (NH) had their problems with some rifles.

They weren't the only ones, as Kimber also had bolt handle problems. Not conducive to a survivable hunt when you're dealing with a charging lion !

Hopefully, the later ones are better.

Looks like a nice rifle. I've done well with my Model 70 Stainless Classic. I do like the older trigger more than the MOA and man, I love the 270 WSM.
