That's a great price...

G'Day Fella's,

I have a very rare Ruger M77 MkII stainless synthetic in .350 Rem Mag.
This rifle has been made up as a Bush Hunting rifle, with a Scout Mount and Aimpoint Comp C3 red dot scope and a muzzle brake.

The 350 RM is a hammer, Homer. I do enjoy mine--a Remington 673.

G'Day Dr Mike, I have one of them also!
This one has been done up a bit also.
The rib was removed and the barrel fluted by the mate I purchased it from. I have personally threaded the muzzle (M16 x 1mm thread) and made and fitted one of my older style M/brakes, I Cerakoted the exterior and Micro Slicked its internals and have bedded the barreled action, into a High-Tech Specialties fiberglass stock (then Cerakoted it).

As it appears in the attached image, it now weighs in an ounce over 6 pound + ammo and sling!
I use this rifle, when I go Sambar Deer hunting, down here in the Australian High Country.

Oh yes, that Near New Ruger .350RM (pictured above), is now For Sale!!!

Homer,

Mine is closer to original. I did remove the rib and replace the shroud and firing pin to make for faster lock-up. I also pillar bedded the rifle. Here is it:

I have verified that it will drop black bear and elk with real authority when shooting 200 grain TSX at ~2700 fps.

That is a nice all weather rifle. Pretty good price.

G'Day Fella's,

Dr Mike, that looks just like mine, when I first purchased it!
OK, it did have some fluting but apart from that, it's identical.

That 22" barrel make a heap of difference (to balance and handling and also adds a bit to ballistics), over the 18 1/2" and 20" barrels of the older Model 600 and the current, Model 7 Rem Custom Shop .350's!!!

I do like the laminated stocks, they really do look the part!
Unfortunately, I have a few spinal injuries, so I chase any practical means of recoil reduction (hence the High-Tech Spec stock on mine)

Merry Christmas
Homer

I hear you, Homer. Back injuries are no fun. I list about thirty degrees starboard from a truck crash in which the truck and I took turns jumping on one another. It still gives me trouble, and there are days I'm not particularly happy about pulling the trigger. I agree that the twenty-two inch barrel balances better and permits just a skosh more velocity to allow the cartridge to shine. A great cartridge, and the 673 is a fine rifle.
