I need a M70 Classic SA with .473 bolt face either SS or CM. I'm not wanting to pay more than $600, but willing to pay a little more for the right rifle. I would prefer a FWT, but any sporter will do for my .358 Win build. Before any of you link me the $499 SS .243 classic from Cabela's in Lehi, UT it has already sold.

So help a rifle loony out please! Before I break down and buy a new rifle, or heaven forbid a pushfeed. Although if the people on GB weren't wanting over top dollar fir the SA pushfeeds I'd probably buy one for this build.

You came to the right place. The fellas here will find you what you are looking for. :)

that one aint half bad....

I looked at that one already not bad until you get to the $3K shipping! I sent him a email asking for clarification on that. The problem I having is I can pick up a new SS Ultimate Shadow .243 local for about $150+ tax more than his BIN price and a new blued Ultimate Shadow for $600 off of GB. I should have stated I didn't want to spend more than $600 with shipping, I'd go more if it was in a FWT stock or came with a decent scope.

Same one with the $3K shipping. Plus I don't know which B&C stock is on it, if it is just a plain old Carbelite it isn't really worth any premium.

Wish I'd known.....a local guy to me had a Featherweight custom in 358 Win for 800 bucks......

Thats ok, I'd probably wind up changing something on it anyway. I've bought a few used custom rifles that have some of the features I want, but I always wind up either selling or sinking money in them to make them exactly what I want. So I've found it is cheaper to start out and build what I want even if it takes me a little longer.

Well I wasn't able to land that M70 on GB I just hesitated a little too long. When I went to get it someone had bid on it and the "buy it now" option was gone. So I threw a couple of bids on it, and then realized the person winning the bid had been banned from GB for not paying and negative feedback. I sent an email to the seller to let me know if he was going to relief it, but when I checked back on the auction it had sold for $670 as someone finally outbid the deadbeat buyer. At that price I'd be into a donor for $730 after shipping and fees, at that price I might just be better off buying a new rifle or Montana SA to build on.
