I have just mounted scopes on both of my dads old Cooey Mod 60's. They both have a slight off set for scope alliagnment. Has anyone come across this and I am assuming for a 22LR it will not be much of a factor once sighted in for 50yds. I know a centerfire rifle would be a problem. Has anyone sighted in an offset scope before and how difficult was it?

Used an old .30-40 Krag rifle that had an offset scope. The scope sat slightly to the left of the receiver. It really wasn't a problem at realistic ranges.

Adjust the scope as usual for windage & elevation until you're dialed in.

We're all used to trajectory placing the bullet slightly off the line of sight vertically, but with the offset scope you're also going to have the bullet slightly off the line of sight horizontally, except at the zero distance. I'd recommend 50 yards or less for zero with your .22's.

Thanks Guy, I am so excited to get to the range as soon as I am able to try them out. I am planning to sight them both in for DOA 50yds. That will make it more fun to stretch them out to 100yds and farther.
