Pre war first year production Pre-64 winchester in 7x57..

That would be a great addition for a collector. I'm somewhat surprised that it would draw that much attention in Europe. It appears to be in good shape.

That's a great price for a Super Grade 7mm Mauser. Not likely to do much less than 8K here. I would love to have such a rifle!

Hmmmm the rifle or a truck for my boy??????

My warning bells go off when somebody says: "7X57 Mauser, 1935 Model 70 Super Grade, first year production" because only 221, 7mm Mauser Model 70's of all grades were made between 1936 and 1939 (the first 4 years) according to estimates, only (5?) of those (2.5%) would have been 7mm Mausers in all grades These rifles are so few that I would have two of my local experts look at it and take it apart before I would buy it, even if it is the correct serial number, stock etc. Winchester only made about 1350 Super Grades total from 1936 through 1959 when they were discontinued. According to some "experts", there were no Super Grade, 7x57 Model 70's made until 1950! So who knows if this is real or not?

I bought a first year carbine , .30-06 (1936, S/N 12XX) many years ago from a reputable "expert" dealer and it was a fake! It was a first year carbine barrel put on a first year action it said "36" on the carbine barrel and the S/N was right. The witness mark on the bottom of the action and barrel did not quite line up, close but no cigar, it was fake! Moral: you have to know your chit to play in this arena!

I Will have them to take a few more Pictures, and I Will post them here.
According to the advertisement, the rifle has a 4 digit serienumber.

Right on Charlie! There are many many fakes out there that people will try to cobble up to make serious money on!
