Having never used QL before, and assuming many of you have, where is the best place to start (since there is really no published data for this powder, with the exception of the Berger 135gr)? Is it like regular data where you begin by reducing 10% and work up from there? In general, do the people who have used the program find it to be very accurate? I would also imagine that there are instances where people exceed the loads listed as Dangerous, and other times, pressure occurs much sooner.

I usually start around the projected 53-55k Mark to get a baseline and increase till I’m near my targeted speed.

Sound advice, that. I focus on percentage, but it works out to about the same thing. Fifty-three to fifty-five psi gives you some room to grow with most cartridges.

That's where I started so I'll see how it goes. I decided to give up on that powder with the 129gr bullet, as I can't get enough powder in the case to make it worthwhile.

17 works incredible with the 127-130 Bullets in the 6.5. 26 is my go to for the 140-147’s.

43.0 grains of RL17 gave me 2912 ft/s and 3/4" (3 shot) at 100 yards with the 129
48.0 grain of RL26 produced 2810 ft/s and 5/8" (3 shot) at 100 yards with the 142

No signs of pressure.

Great for a light rifle that has a barrel profile the size of my pinky finger.

What he said. When I have a Quickload simulation to use, I load up a set of 5 at a time in increasing charges and stop when my chronograph says I'm at whatever Quickload thinks is 62-63K psi or so. Then I shoot for groups and see if the rifle likes it at max. Seating depth and/or backing off are my next steps.

48.7 grains produced 2909 ft/s. The primer was flattening but still had a rounded edge to it. There was no cratering and the bolt lift was normal. 3 shot group came in at 5/8" but just about every other group on the way there did too.

I'm guessing this is probably a good place to stop.
