"An economy-class bolt rifle introduced in 1997 and chambered for the .270, .30-06, .25-06 and .308 calibers. Fitted with a 22" and black synthetic checkered stock. An upgrade model was available with wooden stock. Adjustable trigger. Weight is about 7.5 lbs. Excellent condition, $275, Very good condition $175; Good condition $125. Looks as if you are already pretty well covered, Keith. I sure wouldn't jettison a .280 for a .270. Perhaps it could serve as a donor for some future project.

I remember when those came out.... If I recall my local gunshot had them for $199 out the door. They didn't exactly fly off the shelf then and most of the folks who picked one up were less than impressed.
They are largely responsible for my skepticism at today's bumper crop of bargain priced sub MOA rifles.
