This is the Savage w/ A5744 with 44 grains under an FTX 250 (.452") grain in a harvester red sabot.
1st shot was low. Sight adjustment, then 2 more shots. Velocity is 2,180. Need to tweak the zero but it gives you and idea of capability of this rifle. I have a load with the .
Also have a RL7 63 grain load under a barnes 300 semi spitzer original and the FTX 325 .(458") w/ the harvester black ribbed sabot. Recoil is noticeable.

That’s pretty cool stuff. I’ve heard those Savages were excellent shooting rifles.

Since they no longer make them I scored a Remington Ultimate ML and man, I love it. I did ditch the laminate stock since it was a bit heavy and more of a bench stock for a McMillan Rem Hunter but I love shooting these rifles.

i have been shooting a savage since 2009 my go to load is vv12o with a mmp
orange sabot and a 300gr barnes original it also likes parker 300 gr. barnes 300gr
with 5744 and hornandy pistol bullet.all shoot sub moa.very easy to clean.
