Like a lot of rifle enthusiast I like how accurate Savage rifle are but have a hard time getting by there ugliness. I have a Savage model 11 with a accru-trigger and a tupperware stock for a few years that I wanted to dress up. Recieved a email from Boyd stocks a while back for replacement walnut stock for around a $100 bucks. Added the Winchester model 70 FW style checkering for around $40. I really like the way it came out. No fitting at all and perfectly floated barrel. First time out shot 5/8th inch 3 shot group at a 100 yards with white box Winchester 50 gr HP ammo from Wally world. Thought I would share.
