Looks like it's a shooter.
First load I tried in it.
I may have to keep this one.

WOW! Awesome.. Seems like those dies weren't too wore out!

Great shooting Howard!

That is a great deal and it looks like it is going to be a tack driver as well  congratulations.

Blessings,
Dan

I've spent more money than that on a new barrel, let alone a whole rifle!

Let me know if you decide it's not good enough to keep...

I'll keep you posted Guy !

You have a real shooter.
Those Vanguards are great rifles, and you and your new rifle certainly did well.
Coyotes, deer, what's this .243 going after?

Don't know?
I bought it to fill a gap in the safe.
Wanted something to shoot in the off months that didn' t have a lot of recoil and more punch than a 223/222-250. Also something a bit cheaper to load for and shoot than the 308, 280, 30-06 and various magnums I have.

I'm sure it'll see field duty as a varmint gun and a deer rifle too.
Oh and here in Tx it' s legal to turkey hunt with a rifle.
Spring turkey season starts next weekend

Yup decapitation!

Actually the money shot is right where the neck and body join, right through the craw.
That head is always bobbing and weaving. The top of their body usually isn't.
Broadside? Hold just over the base of the wing at the base of the neck.
You can also shoot them through both thighs if they are broadside. They can't fly off if they can't run first. I never liked this shot though, ruins alot of meat and then you have to chase down a turkey that probably isn't DRT.

As we are legally allowed to take 4 toms a year in most counties here, you'd be flabbergasted to know how many have lost their minds to my 30 cals during deer season. Even shot a few with a 300 Win Mag. I lost count at 40 and that was 10 maybe 12 years ago.

We can also shoot them with rimfires.
Can't count the number my dad killed with a lowly 22LR.

My brother prefers a .17HMR

I agree with you. What I meant was the accuracy is truly there for decapitation.
