Joe Berk has an interesting blog "Exhaust Notes" combining motorcycle & firearms related articles. He recently asked me to write an article re my old 45 Colt revolver, and he "published" it this morning:

http://exhaustnotes.us/blog/index.php/2 ... XxGVVXh8EY

I'm pretty happy about that.

Guy, very good read. At one point in time I had a Ruger Vaquero (old model) in .45 Colt. Very pleasant to shoot, accurate with the 255 grain Semi Wadcutter and in a pinch it could served very well for personal defense. Your article brought back memories.

Thanks! It's a great old cartridge. Now and again I'll load up something with more punch for my youngest son's 45 Ruger Blackhawk.

I have a Blackhawk Bisley (the thick one) as well as a 45 Colt Rossi rifle. The 335gr WFNGC hand loads will get your attention in both.
