Any thoughts, especially on the 45 ACP version? I am contemplating this or a FNX 45.

I bought a .40 Compact when they first hit the market. I was/am a Sig guy and this gun fit and pointed so well I couldn't believe it.

However, I was very underwhelmed when it shot about 3-4 inches low with any ammo I put in it and repeated e-mails to Sig went unanswered. Needless to say, it went over the hill and I moved on to M&P's as my preferred polymer gun(s). My 45 M&Ps are wonderful, amazingly accurate guns with anything ammo-wise.

I have an old style 9mm compact. I like it but it wouldn't be my first choice for a pistol when I absolutely need a pistol. I think they're perfect for beginners with the long, smooth, double action only trigger. The price for magazines is outrageous for what the pistol is.

If you're looking for a .45 ACP Sig and you're not sure if you're going to like the double action only, get a P220.
