Was able to find and purchase two new .45 handguns recently. Took them both to the range today along with the well worn 1911 Kimber. What a great afternoon!

Picked up a 1980's Series 80 Colt Officer's Model, .45 ACP. It has a few minor rust spots on it, but I'm working on those. It shoots GREAT! I've had an Officer's Model since 1984, when Dad gave me one, a real nice fancy one with beautiful blue finish and engraving, but I don't shoot that fancy one often. This one is far more utilitarian and shoots just as well. The Officer's Model has about a 3.5" barrel and a six shot magazine.

It's quite a bit smaller than my standard 5" 1911 Kimber .45 ACP"

Also picked up a SWEET Smith & Wesson .45 ACP 625, with a 3" barrel and a mess of half & full moon cliops. It shoots GREAT!

Thoroughly enjoyed shooting each of them at the range this afternoon!

I really like the looks of the lil' Officers' Model, Guy. They are a very attractive handgun. The 625 looks quite nice, as well.
