Ok, I know I previously posted about a Llama Max-1 .45 Auto.
Well, I´m here to say that I was talking to an acquaintance here, he had a SA 1911 A1 Mil-Spec .45 Auto. He noticed my Llama, and asked about it. He's the kind that likes to tinker, and upgrade 1911's. I half jokingly asked if he would trade, and I was dumbfounded that he actually did want to trade.
I now have the 1911 that I've wanted for some time now.
I´ve always read about Springfield Armory's top notch workmanship, and accuracy.
This 1911 is a work of art, just like a S&W revolver.
It cycles smooth, slide is tight, no rattles when shook. It has a stainless steel match grade barrel, with a stainless steel barrel bushing.
He modified it a little by putting wolf springs in, and a stainless ambi safety. It has an A+ Parkerized finish. The sights are really decent too, high profile GI standard 3 dot sights. But instead of large white dots, they made them smaller to make it more accurate. It has a lowered and flared ejection port.
To me, she's a thing of beauty.
