44mag and shotgun powder.

Steel powder? I keep steel on the shelf for my steel shot reloading and it would seem to be perfect in burn rate for the 44mag. i have tried bluedot but it is a plinking load. can Quick load do steel powder?

Steel powder? Who make it? What grain bullet?

it is close to AA #9 and slower than blue dot. So theoretically you cab use starting data for blue dot.

I use H110 in my 44 Mag.

bullets would be 240gr, 250gr, 265gr. possible 200gr nosler sporting handgun bullets. Alliant steel powder is great in my 10ga. I keep lots of it on the shelf to feed the 10ga. I had some very old AL8 that i used for some 240gr loads. 1550fps Steel powder is very much simular to the old AL8

Steel is a flake powder and is fairly bulky. it will fill the case and make commpressed loads. it is on th same line as AA9 so may very well work excellent.

I IMR 700-x in all my pistol loads with great results! I was gonna use something else but I had a keg of the stuff that never gets used so I tryed it in 9mm, 38 special, 45 auto, and 357 mag.

I use 4.5gr of 700x pushing a 185gr Hornady XTP. I only shot about 20 rounds through it before I sold the gun, but it wasn't any worse than shooting factory ammo
