New pistol fof Fotis

Went to the range with my buddy to shoot his FN 5.7x28mm one and my 460 WBY.

Well I came home with my 460 WBY and His (now mine) 5.7x28mm. I love this gun!

Went to a law enforcement firearms demonstration - the little 5.7 was surprisingly good, particularly from the P90 submachinegun. No recoil, good practical accuracy. I've heard that several agencies tried the little FN pistol, and eventually got away from it due to poor results in actual shootouts.

Thought about buying one of the pistols, but I just couldn't justify it.

I agree that the debate on the 5.7 as a defense round is never-ending.
As I bought one I have done (and currently doing) a fair amount of research on it.

I do know facts from actual shootings and they are many cases where it worked really well.

Many instances in Texas where LEO's were employing their on duty 5.7's resulted in instant incapacitation and death.

The 5.7x28mm round has found wide acceptance both within NATO and elsewhere. A quick run down (but by no means complete) for those interested:
