Universal Firearms Safety Rules

1. Treat all guns as if they're loaded.

2. Never point your gun at anything you are not willing to destroy.

3. Keep your finger off the trigger and out of the trigger guard until your sights are on target and you're ready to fire.

4. Be sure of your target, the backstop beyond, and your surroundings.

Variations on these four universal firearms safety rules exist, but they all convey the same intent. Be careful with your guns! The bullet can't be called back.
