Always a student

Something I picked up in martial arts training long ago - I seem to be always a student.

Though I've been teaching pistol shooting skills for years, and am heading out to teach a class again today in just a few minutes, I spent yesterday as a student, picking up some valuable info from a man who is likely 20 years younger than me. He had some knowledge and skills I wanted. Now they're mine.

No one can take knowledge from you. We might forget, but the knowledge is ours to keep, or lose. It can't be taken from us. Read. Learn. Study. Do. Challenge yourself. Consider new ideas.

Keep an open mind. Learn from others. Maybe good, maybe bad, but they've got something.

When a man stops learning... Perhaps he needs to listen more carefully.

Just a few thoughts before I head out to teach again. Heck, I'll likely learn something from today's shooters!

Regards, Guy

You said it Guy.
I am living proof that you can teach an old dog new tricks. :)
