Here is a 5 shot group at 100 yards with a 14" Thompson Contender 35 Remington.
I say five as I fired five and I couldn't find the fifth hole in the paper or on a large plywood backer. One hole looked kind of elongated so maybe I punched two near the same place.

I'm thinking this is good enough for a 100 yard deer gun.

That'll do. I should imagine that it would put a genuine hurting on a deer at 100 yards or less.

That 14" 35 rem barrel is a hammer on whitetails. I used to have one that shot almost as good. It was great for whitetails out to 150 yards with 200gr RN. I had a 3x pistol scope on mine. Very handy rig

I started out with 4895 with this round but got steered to 4198.
Seems to be much tamer now.

Nice shooting. I played with a 35 Rem barrel and it was a fun one to shoot.
It should be a hammer on WT deer.
