As part of my personal USMC Birthday celebration, I took several handguns to the range today, along with the chronograph. Here's the results:
.38 Special (.357 mag 2.5" S&W Model 19)
3.5 gr Bullseye, 158 gr LSWC = 675 fps
Very easy shooting. Pleasant indeed.
Kahr CM9, 115 gr Hornady Critical Defense
1006 fps, vicious little rascal!
Older photo of this nice Kimber.
185 gr Hornady Critical Defense = 1003 fps
230 gr Winchester SXT = 858 fps
230 gr Federal +P = 931 fps (significant recoil, feels good!)
185 gr Nosler JHP bullet over 6.0 gr Bullseye = 927 fps
500 S&W, 440 gr CPB over 28.3 AA#9 = 1345 fps
All in all, it was a great way to spend a damp & cool afternoon. Temp was about 40 degrees.
