Headed to Hood River Oregon where I met up with a couple of buddies. Headed north from there, mostly off-pavement. Great trip. Spent three nights in my tent. Cooked. Goofed off. Took photos. Saw parts of Washington I've never seen before. Had to shorten our journey by about a half day when we were getting close to my home town. Road closures due to our crazy wildfires. Here's a few photos from the trip. Good stuff. Saw some elk and deer as well.

Rocks. Mud. Steep slopes. Tight, twisty roads. Deep ruts. It was a hoot!

Regards, Guy

That is surely some lovely country. It has to be great fun exploring. Great photos as usual, Guy. Thanks for letting us tag along.

Great pics. Thanks.
What am I looking at with the pilings and rocks? Just curious. An old foundation?

It's what is left of an old mining operation. That was the stamp mill, for crushing the ore as I understand.

This particular example is just off Hwy 97, Blewett/Swauk Pass, central Washington.

Thank you.
Terrific pictures.
Shame you don't get any use out of that Jeep.
