Looking for a "vintage" scope to go on my Savage 99. A minor flash burn at work makes me unable to effectively use irons at this time. Vintage is a relative term here. Not looking for old, doesn't work well type of vintage. More classic styling with a 32mm or less objective and a longer tube. Compact wide angles won't work well on the 99s bridge.

Need a sound scope in the lower magnification range that will look suitable on this classic rifle. Needs to be a heavier reticle, standard duplex or heavier. A variation of the German or Post would be superb. Budget $200 or less. Anybody got a cool scope collecting dust? I'll give it a good home.

Look for one of the old straight tube Leupold 3x20s.... that'd be superb on there.
