Just a little follow up on these lovely very edible mushrooms.
The wife cleaned and sliced the smaller ones dipped them in wiped egg floured them and fired them in hot veggy oil till they were golden brown the same way she dose morels and they were delicious.
There are lots of edible things growing in your own back yard that we over look.
If you should try these make sure they are no more then a day old since they will be past the edible stage. The must feel firm and when you cut them they should be snow white in side. If they are off color they are past prime eating and will taste peppery and bitter.
