TD, hope your recovery an goes well and things settle down. As we get older, it gets frustrating with some medical issues that seem to arise. Hang in there and wish you a speedy recovery.

Thanks for the well wishes.
I finally got my heart surgery scheduled for next Tuesday so I can relax some knowing things are moving forward. My meds are keeping everything in check.
On the plus side I have lost 17lbs in just 7 days by eating a 60 carb meal 3 times a day and that is with out any snacks in between. If I can keep the low carb diet up I should be a light weight by the end of the summer. My goal is to get down under 200lbs where I belong.

Just letting everyone know the heart procedure went as planed and seems to be working in my favor. Feel a little beat up but other wise okay.
Need to take it easy for a week but I'm home where I can rest and watch the grass grow out of control LOL.
Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers from everyone they were and are appreciated.

Rodger I am glad to hear that your heart procedure went well.
As has been said before this aging process is not what it is cracked up to be . I am in a constant battle with carbs and weight and being diabetic doesn't make things any easier.
I know by hitting the gym almost everyday I am in good shape but man when I am finished I can put the feed bag on for the rest of the day.
I have been back to WW now for a couple of months and the weight is leaving, I just hate always having to watch everything that goes in my mouth .

Blessings,
Dan

I had an area in the top of my heart cauterized.
The procedure is none as Ambulation.
They locate the nerve in the area of your heart that is causing it to flutter and cauterize it to stop the flutter.
I think I explained that right but then I'm no doctor.

Thanks Dan,
I was in good shape up until I broke my ankle and then my physical condition went down hill and I started picking up weight.
I'm slowly loosing the weight on my own just by eating less and healthier.
As soon as the doctor releases me to do something more strenuous I'll start working out in some form that is low impact.

Now to get the glue off of me from the bio shield. That stuff is stronger then gorilla glue. Soap and water won't touch it and neither will 90% alcohol.

Roger,

They used that same stuff to glue me back together after my surgery. It will peel off in time. Slowly at first then then in larger chunks................. :>)

Rodger, I have a pretty good idea on how you feel. Last October I had a Cardiac Ablation procedure. The Doctor told me that his methods of doing the operation "were a little bit different" than is normally done. Instead of picking areas of the heart to burn he just burnt it all the way around. So far so good but I have to tell you that for the first time I knew what it was like to get "run over by a truck". Seven months later and I'm "Almost" back although there are days when my body reminds me that I had something major done.

I don't feel 100% and do have some muscle ache.
I don't think my surgeon did that radical of a procedure on me though I will find out next week after I visit my cardiologist.

what they used on me was like a inner tube blow out patch that they placed over a wadded up 4X4. I got it off last night with using alcohol to loosen the glue as I pealed it off. There was no way this thing was going to flake off. The skin is a little tender considering where it's at and the alcohol didn't help either. But like everything else it will pass.
