Spent the morning with two of the grandchildren yesterday. Noah had loaded up quite a bit of ammunition for the .356 Win and the .325 WSM that he wanted to test. At the last minute, he phoned to ask if Sara could come. Of course, she is welcome, but making sure we had something she could shoot was problematic as she is rather short. The Cricket I bought for the grandchildren was locked up in their safe, and I don't have keys for that, so we were restricted to what I had in my safe. Noah asked if I'd bring along the AR15, so it came with us. The boy can sure burn through the ammunition!

After satisfying his thirst for these, we headed over to the handgun range where the two shot handguns. Sara shot the Buckmark for the first time. She was surprisingly accurate with the little handgun.

Who is that old, fat guy with the young chick?

Noah really enjoyed punching paper with the Kimber. He handles the 45 ACP quite well. He's wondering why I haven't purchased a 9mm yet.

Of course, after a good morning, they asked if we could go for lunch. So, off for Filipino food (Sisig, Lechon Kawali with Bagoong. Yeah, a great day. Now, I have a group of boys coming down on Saturday to pull the trigger on their rifles as we determine velocities and accuracy. It feels good to make it to the range after almost two years, even if I'm not pulling the trigger much. Sitting around the growing old hasn't been all that fun.

How nice that you were able to take the grandchildren to the range. I bet that they really enjoyed the activity and the time with Grandpa.

Also, it is great that you are working with the boys on developing loads for their rifles. I still remember the story about the moose hunt.

Good for you.

Dan

That's great DrMike and looked like fun.
I don't know if it's fat or just fallen chest muscles, since muscle is heavier then fat it looks like the chest muscles have gravitated to your mid section.
I have the same problem but I'm trying to control it.

Senescence from a lack of mobility has taken a toll, Rodger. I'm slowly getting more active. Determined to get moving again.

DrMike, anytime you get a opportunity to teach your grandchildren the art of shooting it is a fantastic day .
It looks like both those youngsters have shot up since I was there 2 years ago .
Thank you so much for the post (y).

Blessings,
Dan
