Not really off topic from the forum but.....I put it here anyway.

Looking for some information otherwise related I saw this and had to sit and read it. In fact I downloaded it.

Maybe I'll start a library of such. :)

JR that was way cool, it brought back lots of memories. I remember Ben Lilly and the Colonel . I should have bought a truck load of those Mausers, but who would have thought? I graduated from High School the following spring. Lots of hunting seasons since then.

Thanks for sharing Steve. Bought my first center fire rifle that year. It was a used 1948 Model 70 in 270 Winchester. I was 14 years old and a “Jack O’Connerite”!! Thanks for the great trip down memory lane.

Ha I knew Bill was way older than me. I was seven, living at Fort Wainwright outside Fairbanks. No tv, all I read where gun/hunting magazines. Really enjoyed that trip down memory lane.
