This past week I spent a short period of time on facebook and had the opportunity to listen to and comment on one of the Handloader website questions. The question was "Is it safe to tumble loaded ammunition" Having spoken with a Hogdon Tech in regards to this very question I related that "no, it may change the makeup of the powder and also there is the possibility of a pointed bullet striking the primer of another round. I subsequently received a page full of sarcastic comments one being" I was full of sh--" I answered a couple of commenters and then quickly left the site. Anyone else experience this with this site? It seems that if you are not in with the group commenting on this site you are quite the outcast so to speak.

Which page was it?

The Handloading Center is my page.

I got tired of the caustic posters and left the forum. Lots of sociopaths on there.

(y) I went a step further and deleted my FB account in it's entirety & do not miss it one bit!

I still follow model 70, which the posters seem much more better behaved...

I also follow family, but like you, I’m considering dumping Facebook entirely, and Instagram...

I don't do Facebook so I can't comment.
Fotis and I started on this forum back in the beginning and guided the course of direction to what you see today. We are happy with the members here being friendly and respectful of others. No coolaid here and spirited conversation is fine so long as it's done respectfully. And having some very knowledgeable ladies here is a welcome bonus too!

Definitely agree with the quality of the interactions on the Nosler forum. Really smart respectful bunch.

I wish some of the ladies posted more as some of them have more experience hunting than many of us will have in our life times (Africa and Artic Circle come to mind). Also perspectives from international culture is always welcomed here and appreciated!

Jim, Fotis - thank you! I’ve quietly lobbied other hand loaders to join and I think some have...

Actually there are several handloading sites in Facebook, I'm in three that I know of. There's also a couple of Ruger #1 sites and several for the .35 Whelen. I understand about some of the idiots. I may have been instrumental in getting one of the really bad ones kicked off the site. Put a few others in their place as well. Unfortunately idiot prevail on many forum sites. This one, the Ruger forum and Handloader's Bench keep things pretty civil. The Firing Line mods run an  extremely tight ship, too tight in my estimation. I don't much care the how high handed their mods are. They are very civil though.

I have zero social media footprint and I like it that way. Do I miss our on some stuff? Yeah bud I have so much less drama in my life. tbh, this is the only forum I actively participate inane that is due to all of you fine gentlemen (and a few ladies).

Honestly, ditched Facebook like 2 years ago, and frankly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Be it reloading or life in general entirely too many key board warriors. It becomes caustic really fast.

I'm sorry I can't help you on the request Fotis. I left the site very quickly and also very quickly realized what a pleasure the Nosler site is. Talking to great people and getting sensible answers is always a plus!!

I refuse to participate in the destruction of the Free World by participating in these tech sites that insist on promoting socialism/communism while destroying free speech. I lasted on Facebook for two days and haven't been back as a subscriber.

I tried couple of reloading facebook sites and dropped out of them. This place here is where I check in. Friendly and good information from well respected folks. Dan.

I quickly jumped off as well..Just a bunch of jerks whose only answer to questions is:
"Read the F...kn book" And no matter what you post there's a bunch that only show up to hate..."I wouldn't own a PRC if it was the only gun left"

I have zero social media accounts and have not posted a picture, video or any other personal information since the Cabala's fiasco which nearly cost me my job, not to mention finding pictures of my face photoshopped onto disgusting photographs. I thought Nosler had discontinued this forum for awhile as I was unable to log on and my fighting for the hunters in B.C. in 2018 ( when they banned Grizzly hunting, which was and is a terrible idea ) ) also garnered me a few enemies . ZERO social media for me and post on only three hunting forums. We had a couple of "nasty's" on this forum, but I think Jim and/or Fotis eliminated them.

I fired fb about 8 years ago. If I have need to get online with social media type site to discuss reloading, hunting, etc this site is just fine.

TO, nice to see you around. I always enjoy your posts. Please stick around, we'll run the jerks away if they show up.

God delivered me from FB about three days after I signed up. Haven't needed to go back for some years now. We do a livestream for church service, but I don't have anything to do with that other than to speak.

I share BD’s sentiments. Your first hand experiences are far beyond mine, and your perspective thriving where you do has an element of practicality and simplicity that many of us can’t imagine. Ie. I need a new pair of boots... probably the only thing I can’t do is about your only option...

Always enjoy your posts.
