I've got a new resident in my shed and he seems to like my covered bridge bird feeder.
I've ran it off several times but it keeps coming back and will lay there and watch me until I get too close and then it either heads for the hills or just craws inside the feeder.
It's an eastern garter snake which is harmless and I don't want to kill it since they keep the mice population in check.
It would be nice if he found some place else to hang out.

Garter snakes were a common occurrence in KS when I was a boy. Sounds as if he has adopted you.

They are here also DrMike just haven't seen them in a place that is kept clean.
I use to play with them when I was a Kid and find them in wood piles or stored junk.
