Got out today and tried some Berger. I tried some 130 BT and did not shoot very good. Maybe next up is SGK.

I would suggest you play with the seating depth to tighten up that group.
If that doesn't work, try RL 22. The Nosler BT's are very accurate bullets, you just need to find the magic load.

I am unfortunately limited by mag length with my T3. I might revisit the BT and previous PT loads and try different primers.

Got out again today and tried BT and PT

Did you Chrono the 150s?

No, just wanted to see how they grouped. I may not pursue the Berger as I am looking for a deer load. Almost out of options for H4831 and might have to try some RL22 or RL26.

Berger 150vld hunting is my go too in my 270 win model 70fwt. Very accurate and lays deer down. Rl 22 is my powder of choice.

Are you using the "hunting" version or the Match? How much meat damage have you experienced?

The hunting version. Quite minimal meat damage. If I remember correct mv is around 2900fps. It's a warm load.. in my 300 rum with the 210's I will not use them on deer size game at all anymore. Explosive is an understatement...[FEARFUL FACE]

Boomer, just my opinion, but I would shorten your BT/PT load with H4831.. It looks like you could easily pull that shot into the other two. With two touching like that I would have to try it. It could be a bug hole.

Will give that a try, thanks.
Drop it by .020? Or try .010 first.

Boomer, typically I try to turn the seating stem down about an 1/8 turn at a time when the groups look like yours. Usually one or two tries will bring it together. I think you will see that 3rd shot walking into the group. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them come together. You've got an accurate rifle and a well known great combo.... Plus it is a 270 Winchester, it really wants to do right!

Thanks for the advice. I will re-shoot the loads and give that a try.
