I Think I Screwed Up (Quick Load Help)

As I always do, I check my load data several times against several sources before I load fresh rounds. Then, before I go to the range, I do it again. I went to double check my reduced charge 30-06 loads and found what I believe to be an error. I loaded 56 grains of W748 behind a 130 grain Barnes TTSX. I cannot relocate where I got that load data. It seems several grains too hopt based on what I can find. I think I intended to load 46 grains of 748. Can anyone run a QL on my load and tell me how badly I screwed up. Thanks.

I suggest you back off 10% from 56 grains and work up. You are at maximum.
46 grains is way too low.

I think you're fine Pard. I can only think of a few times when a particular rifle I had didn't do well with Barne's top listed loads... I bet you end up closer to 60gr with that 130! I wished I had tried to work up a 125/130gr load out of a 26" bbl 30-06 AI I played with. I used the 200 SBT (it was scary accurate and plenty flat for the range I wanted) I later had that rifle converted to 300 RUM and set up for the 200 NAB. I do believe that the standard '06/130 TTSX is an awesome combo though, for about anything, but especially for elk.

Barnes seems to be really aggressive on light for caliber bullets. Apparently those relief grooves really do work... I have played around a little bit with the 130 and the 110 308 caliber bullets in various cartridges and guns and their data is pretty much Max when it says Max.... use a chronograph and your reloading knowledge and eyeballs and you will be fine... and very likely quite speedy...lol!
