Got a can of Ramshot Hunter on the way to try in my 7mm-08, anyone have any input on how it is with temp stability?

I have only check at 43 degrees and 65 degrees. The 43 day was with once fired cases and 65 was with new cases.

43 was 2746 fps

65 was 2690 fps

This was with 150 Bt's.

For my Sako 06, Hunter is my favorite powder. According to my magneto speed @ 34 degree I got the following:
Load of 60 grs Hunter, with CCI 200, Winchester brass, and 165 Hornady Interbond.
1-2880 fps
2-2876
3-2889
Average 2881 fps, SD 5.6 fps
The same load @ 90 degree averaged 2905fps out of the 22.4 inch barrel. So my uneducated assessment is the powder is very stable at various temps.

Those look pretty impressive, I’m trying to find some locally around here but haven’t had any luck. Looks like I’m gonna have to bite the bullet and pay that bs hazmat charge and order a pound online.

What bullet do you plan to use with Hunter?

I’m gonna try it with a 160 gr Acuubond. My 7mm-08 seems to shoot a 160 gr bullet best out of everything i’ve Tried so far with Reloader 19 and wanted to see how they’d shoot with hunter.

The reason I ask is I use Hunter in my .30-06 rifles. Great velocity and accuracy from 165 gr up to 180 gr. Temp stable, no pressure signs at max loads.

I use Big Game in my 7mm-08 rifles, 120 gr up to 150 gr, haven't tried 160 gr. Great velocity and accuracy, also very temp stable with no pressure signs at max loads.

Great results this year with 150 ELDX, three bucks and a nice 6x5 bull, all from various 7mm-08 rifles.

I may give big game a try also. My rifle is showing good results with a 150 gr BT too. That might be something to try with em.
