243 Winchester 70 grain bullets and Ramshot Hunter

Just got a new Weatherby Vanguard in .243 Win. I have looked at The load data from Ramshot.

Their Hunter powder shows some impressive velocity possibilities. Max loads at 3700 FPS +.

Has anyone tried this? Please share your experiences with either this powder, or your favorite.

I just cashed in a bunch of Cabelas points & bought 120 Hornady rounds. I need to get them emptied before I start loading, so I have a bit of time to plan the load up.

Hunter is in the burn range with the 4350s. I used to run IMR 4350 with 70 gr Nosler ballistic tips out of a Rem. 700 varmint 243 Win. Very accurate and shot VERY FLAT and was wicked on groundhogs.

How much 4350 did you typically use?

I use a ton of Hunter, but in various .30-06 rifles. Temp stable and clean burning.

I used the suggested hunting load out of the Sierra manual back then but I used the Nosler 70 gr BT. It was 44.6 grs IMR 4350 and this is listed as a Max load. I did not have a chrno back then but the book said that it did 3400 fps. It had been at least 25 years ago when I was shooting the 243 Win.
