Got out to the range with a new to me Remington SPS DM and loaded up some 130gr BT over H-4831sc.

This is 59grs. Didn’t chrono it yet, but guessing 3100 or so.

Really impressive! Looks like a great load and great shooting.

I'd say you are good to go.
Nice shooting.

Nice job!

H4831SC and the .270 go together like apple pie and vanilla ice cream!

G'Day Fella's,

Boomer 68, the .270 Win is so underrated these days.
This is despite it doing a fine job in the field, since 1926.
Impressive group you have there and well done.

Doh!

Thanks guys. I have never been disappointed with H4831 in the 270. I was using Nosler brass as well, so all came together rather nicely.

That load is certain " instant check out" anytime you do your part. A 270W
With a good 130 gr loading is the combo we always recommend to hunt deer/ sheep/
Caribou . A true classic cartridge.

Looks like the same results my bud has gotten from the last 6-8 Remington SPS he has bought.

Good shooters in every one of them.

Fine shooting there!!

I have been shooting the 270win for 50 years & the 130gr. bullet is by far the best projectile that you can launch out of it .
I know the #1 powder recommended is 4831 but I have always used 4350 which does a very good job as well (y).
Again another great calibre built off the -06:mrgreen:.

Blessings,
Dan

Don't forget the great Nosler AccuBond LR in 150 gr for larger stuff, out behond 300 yds there are Big advantages with this loading, with RL 26 its right there with a Big 7 , and makes an honest Elk/ Moose Cartridge out of it. As Dan says, for game down in the 250 lb or smaller size the 130 gr at 3100 is tough
to beat, though a 6.5x55 loaded up with 49grs of 414 under the 129gr ABLR going 2950 is nipping at its
Heels, but still can't quite catch the grand olde .270
