Posting again in case you missed it!

Photobucket has chosen to show you this block image instead of the original image. However, unless the user deleted their photobucket account, every old photobucket image is still linked on this website (and every other place on the internet).

There are Free Add-Ons available for both Chrome and Firefox, which will let you choose to see the original photo instead of the "ransom block" image, throughout the Internet.

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/cate ... ions?hl=en
Then search for PHOTOBUCKET

for Firefox - addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/photobucket-fix/

With this, you can see everyone's old photobucket images in context on every thread and every website.

Uploading the patch, you're not doing photobucket any favors, giving them any money, agreeing with them - all you're doing is restoring your old knowledge base to where it was before the photobucket ransom

If you want to remove the add-on later, go to Add-ons/Extensions and remove or disable it, or with Chrome, just right-click on your toolbar.

You bet! We aim to please!

Thanks again Fotis.
There's some great pictures in the archives that where blocked and now we can see them again.

You can continue to post Photobucket images without having everyone install a fix on every device they own.
I've been using Photobucket for years and none of my pics are blocked. Maybe it's the way you link to them.
Link wrong and everyone needs the fix to view it.
Too late for old posts though :(
For those you need the FIX.

The Photobucket image below should be visible to anyone, even on a phone, without a fix.

Can you see it?

When you paste your Photobucket link between the IMG brackets
DELETE all the extra stuff. Save the http://i-----------.jpg

Link only to the image hosted on Photobucket.
I use the DIRECT option.
Put this part in the IMG brackets;
http://i965.photobucket.com/albums/ae13 ... mphwek.jpg
To see what the link to the photo above looks like hit the Quote button.

Thanks Fotis. I was able to retrieve my old photos with out having to pay a ransom.

I 'Fixed' Firefox and opened an imgur account.
I can load BIG images to imgur and Flicker
but Photobucket cuts the size down.
