Proper way to measure case volume

You use 5 once fired case from your rifle chamber.
Do not resize the cases!
Use distilled water that you can buy at any grocery store or walmart.
Weigh 5 fired cases to get your dry weight, fill with water making sure you have a meniscus on the case mouth and then weigh the filled cases.
write down your dry and wet weights.
Add the weights together keeping the dry and wet separate, divide by 5 to get an average then subtract your dry weight average from your wet weight average and you have your HO2 case capacity.
I use a basting needle to fill the case to the top of the case mouth letting the water form a meniscus.
That's the way I was told to do it by others here on the forum.
