Happy new year to you all. I really enjoy your discussions and info. everyone on here is helpful and polite.
What clocked velocities have you gotten w/ the .270 win. and .300WM loading RL26 ?

In my 300WM I topped out at 3339fps with a 180gr AB out of a 26"barrel showing first signs of pressure but backed it down to 3288fps.
I couldn't find any accuracy till I got it down to 3050fps.
Also the barrel heats up fast with this powder or it did with my barrel.

270 Win 61.5 with the 130 Tipped TBBC 3145 FPS

270 Win 60.5 with the 150 ABLR 3030 FPS

I’ve read a lot a good things about RL26 and speed. Might have to try some in my WSM

It’s pretty danged good stuff... I tend to use it in a lot of cartridges.

I’d say it’s right next to RL25, right in the same spot as H1000 and IMR7828.. that’s not scientific just where I’ve seen it work. The beauty is it fits in the case like a charge of RL22.

A little faster than rl25. Rl23 is also a little faster than rl22

Can we talk about what kind of velocities you guys are getting from hens’ teeth? I seem to have better luck finding those in stores.

I'm using 61.5gr RL26 along with the Hornady 140 BTSP and getting 3115 fps. Groups are less than moa. This from a 23.5 inch Husqvarna.

RL-26, Rl-23, RL-16, and RL-17 will give higher velocities with lower pressure than most other powders in their burn range. I've tried them in 243AI, 7x57, 7x57AI, 257 Rob, 257 Rob AI, 280AI, 338RCM, and 6.5CM. Impressive powders

61grs with 130gr SSTs = 3150fps great deer load.
60grs with. 150 ABLR = 3000fps Super long range
Moose n Elk (3/500 yds).

270 win?

Using RL26 in my 23.5in Husqvarna I'm getting 3115fps. Accuracy is great. Less than 1 moa. Settled on 61.5gr under a 140gr Hornady BTSP. Cheers.
