Guys has anyone had any success with the .224 70g RDF?

I’ve tested a couple of loads in my 223 AI and results have been a bit discouraging. This rifle shoots the Hdy 75g BTHP and the 55g SGK into less than 0.75moa when I’m shooting well but the RDF has been more like 1.75moa.

Rifle is a Howa 1-9” twist.

Because I’m using the standard mag length I’m limited to 2.325” OAL so I’m wondering if it likes to be closer to the lands....

Any thoughts?

I loaded some in my Valkyrie just fooling around. They shot best about 40 off if that helps at all?

I shoot them in the plain 223 in a 9 twist at 2850 fps. I use a Wyatts DBM set up with the rifle so I can seat out to the lands. My remington has a ridiculously short throat, I put them within 0.010"of the lands and so far have made hits out to 450 without a problem.

Arghhh...

I’m not getting much happening no matter what I do!

Might try them in the little RAR Compact.
