A good friend of mine has asked to give him some help in making 25.06 Cases out of 270 Win. cases. To the best of my knowledge the parent case is the same so resizing the body should be minimal. My only thought is when resizing the neck portion will the neck become too thick from being reduced in size and require turning? I realize that a good deal of trimming for OAL will be required. Any thoughts?

I've gone from 30 to 25.06 and the didn't have an issue with the neck becoming too thick, I used once fired 30-06 and neck sized to 6.5 then full sized to 25.06 and it worked, doing it again I'd maybe add another neck sizing step. If you have a 270 or 6.5 sizer I'd maybe run it thru that, then the 25, and used good lube. There will be more experienced advice coming after me I am sure.

Can't see any issues going down the .02 to .257" just a bit of trimming because of the longer neck of the 270 Win.

I concur. I've been making 25-06 from 30-06 brass. On simple pass through the die and I have 25-05 shells ready to load. Any trimming would be just enough to square of the necks.
