Whoa, those look GREAT.

I loaded a batch of 120 BTs today for my daughter. Love those 7mm BTs.

The BT is an excellent bullet when not pushed too hard. I use them on deer in multiple calibers without complaint.

I love the 120gr Ballistic Tip in my 7x57. I push them as fast as I can and I haven't found one yet in a deer. I've taken 4 deer so far with that bullet.

I hope they shoot good for you in your TCU.

Tough problem to have. Both bullets have done very well. Accurate and deadly.

I use 165’s in my ‘06 and have the 100 grain for the 25.06 and 257 Roberts.

They're awfully good bullets, those Ballistic Tips.

Accurate and lethal. And a whole lot tougher than some folks believe. I've been really impressed.

The famous "Blue Cyclones" and the "Green Hornets".
My daughter likes the 115 gr BT in her 257 Roberts
and Sue swears by the 140 gr BT in her 280 AI.

My favourites: (sorry for the poorly lit pictures)

270 Win 150 gr Ballistic Tip - shot a few deer with these, 4-5 I think, and been quite pleased.



6.5 mm Ballistic Tips - 120 gr in the 6.5x55 and 140 gr in 260 Remington. We have shot a bunch of deer with these and really like both of them.

I don’t think you can find a better bullet for deer than the BT. Super accurate. I use them in my 270 and 308. I use a 160 gr Partition in my 7mm mag due to its velocity. Never had a deer walk away from a BT. People tend to get turned off to them from their old reputation. 3000 fps or under and they will punch through both shoulder blades without trouble. My 308 is running a hair over 2950 and I’ve had the 150 grainers penetrate diagonally from the front shoulder to the opposite side ham and not come apart after breaking bone on both ends.

So true! I shot through a mature buck front shoulder impact/ exit opposite flank on a quartering shot. 150 tip @ 3,200 FPS in .300WM. Shot was at 40 feet!!!!!

Nice pics Guys!!! You're on the right path with those and why they've taken more animals then any plastic tipped bullet out there!

In my experience of killing a bunch of deer it is hard to beat the proper "deer" constructed Ballistic Tip if you keep the impact velocity under 3000 fps. If your impact velocity will be over 3000 fps or if you step up in animal size to the 300 lb plus weight class then the AccuBond is the way to go. One Ballistic Tip bullet that I have killed at least 100 deer with is the 125 gr. .308 diameter. I shoot it in two rifles, a 308 win. @ 3000 fps and a 30x47 @ 2850 fps and a T/C Contender pistol 14" barrel 30-30AI @2670 fps. I can count on one hand the deer that have even taken a step after receiving one of these. I shoot the 130 AccuBond in my 27 3/4" barrel 264 Win mag at 3350 fps and it is just plain AWESOME on deer from 25 to a little past 500 yards so far for me on 12+ deer shot with it. I have killed deer and lesser critters with a number of other calibers and bullet weights with the BTs since they first came out. When the BTs first came out I got some 150 gr for a 30-06 and was running them around an estimated 2900 fps. These first examples were very accurate but too lightly constricted. They would not exit a deer unless it was shot over 200 yards away where the bullet has slowed down some. The between 5 & 10 deer I shot with it that were under 200 yards would run off a ways and leave NO blood trail and in the jungles and swamps of east NC they would run into it was VERY HARD to find them. I stopped using them after this first years experience for a few years until my friends started telling me that Nosler must have changed them and toughened them up a bit. I got some more and found them to be excellent. I then got some 120s for a 6.5x55 Swede and it did great. Then I was turned on to the 125 BT in .308 by my hunting buddy. He was an avid handloader that loaded for a BUNCH of people and would load what ever people wanted so he learned what was working and did not work. (I tried to tell him that he was going to get into trouble loading for others because it was against the law without a manufactures license but he would not listen and luckily he never had any problems.) One person wanted a lower recoil load for a 308 Win. for his girlfriend to use to hunt deer out to 300 yards. My buddy got some of the 125 BTs and worked up a load finding that 46 grs IMR 4895 would get an average of 3000 fps muzzle velocity but the recoil was noticeably less than full power 150 gr loads. This load was supper accurate in this girls Savage rifle and has been in every rifle that I have tried it in. The girl could handle the recoil OK and began to kill every deer she shot at with one shot and most were in their tracks dead. I loaded up some and the rest is history.
