QL 6.5-06

Buddy just built a 6.5-06 with a 24" tube. Hes using the 147 eldm with an OAL of 3.375" Can we get all powders at max pressure please? Hes using Retumbo right now and its waaaay to slow for him. Lots of carbon and unburnt powder he says. Thanks for the help!

The A-Square may or may not be the exact spec. Here are a few of the "best" powders:

Cartridge : 6.5-06 A-Square
Bullet : .264, 147, Hornady ELD-M 26333
Useable Case Capaci: 60.795 grain H2O = 3.947 cm³
Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 3.375 inch = 85.73 mm
Barrel Length : 24.0 inch = 609.6 mm

I'd forget Retumbo or H1000 unless I had a much longer barrel. 8)
