QL for 7-300 win mag please

Would like to see what QL says with a 180g Hornady ELDM with all powders at max pressure. 28" barrel and OAL of 3.495" 3 main powders I am interested in is H1000/Retumbo/RL26 as that's what I have. Thanks.

Jorey, I’d bet if you load Retumbo/H1000 up to 3050-3100 in .5 grain increments you’d be good to go. You’ve got 3” more barrel than I so it shouldn’t be any big trick to get them flying outta that long tube of yours!

I am planning to do a ladder test in .2g increments with H1000 since I have quite a bit of it. If I can get 3000fps and 1/2 MOA or better I'll make the switch from my 162 AMAX at 3150fps. 74g is about max with the 180 ELDM according to ballistic studies, and he thinks Retumbo is interchangeable with H1000, although Retumbo is a bit slower burning. RL26 I can probably squeeze a little more velocity out of either since it seems to be the holy grail of powders these days...But I do love the consistency of H1000.

I can push the 195 grain Berger EOL at around 2900 fps with 70 grains of Retumbo.

What's barrel length on that one?

Jorey you will EASILY get 3000 buddy. With that 28” barrel I’d bet you’ll be closer to 3100. Not much bearing surface on the 180 ELDs. I think you’re going to be pleasantly surprised.

H1000 will work great. I’d use all you have.

74 gr of H1000 with 180 Lapua Scenar bullets at 3150. My rifle for high wind F-class. Hold a water line line nothing I've seen!! Just gotta read the wind though!

H1000 is the got powder for this round in my rifles. Start lower and work up of course.
