Could someone run this through for me. 6.5 prc 24" barrel, hornady case, remington 9 1/2m primer, 140gn bthp bullet 6.5 staball. Thanks.

Thanks. Staball and hybrid 100 are right next to each other on the burn rate chart. Barnes has data for hybrid. I may weigh out that charge and see what the case fill looks like.

my opinion is , there are better choices of powder . the way things are we have to use what we can get .

Thanks Jim. I have other powders. I picked up the staball because it was there and only $185 for 8lb. I have magpro, rl23, and 26. I'll try it and if my gun don't like it i'll use it in my 243,270,or 30-06.

heck you're not that far away . I'm in Philipsburg , about 20 mile west of State College .

no , I have not . I have heard about it , but I don't know much .

I think it's in your area where a town has water that can be set on fire . I've seen it on the news where they turn the sink on and light the water . they were using this trying to stop fracking , but this problem was there before the gas industry got big .

I'm about 5 minutes from Centralia my wife was born there. The water must be about 2 hrs north of me.

My parents got married in Mt. Carmel. I remember driving thru Centralia proper before they rerouted Rt.61. My aunt had a house up there (M.C.) she tried to sell me before I left the snow behind. Matucci's had the best pizza I ever tasted & we spent a few summers at a long since disappeared cabin on the creek by Knoebel's. Small world.

My grandfather was pastor at this church in the 40s. Lived in the house to the right.

Matucci's is still open. My son's first job while in school was at Knoebels is open to.

It's 4th generation now I think. My dad went to high school with Eugene (RIP), & Eugene's son was running the place last time I was up there (2013).

My kids still live in PA & go to Knoebel's regularly. I think my dad's 1st job was there in the 40s.

Are any of the Greco's still doctoring?

Well i don't think staball is going to work. Loaded 2 rounds at 54.5 gn and had a heavy bolt lift and swipes on the brass. Ran them over the chrono but it didn't read them. Also tried us869 and they were very slow 2760.
