So I got out and tried my new tikka and shot the first 100 rounds I reloaded a while back.
I was seated on a tripod. Not overly impressed with results but definitely not to bad. Last 2 pics are me still getting use to the light trigger( which I love).
I've got a shooting bench now so next results should be a bit better. Oh yea it was nasty sleet and rain so I didn't get the chrono out.

Those tikka's seem to always impress.

That they do. They were an instant hit here locally in central Washington some years ago. Well made, accurate, affordable.

These targets look pretty doggone good. (y)

All that looks promising. Without a doubt groups will tighten as you continue working with the rifle.

Still laughing about not blowing your face off. Lots of anxiety getting started...I think I had the exact same thought.

I still do on every new rifle.

Those Tikka's are very good out of the box and given what she's providing out of the gate; I'm sure you will settle into a good, long and comfortable relationship.

I love my Tikka, too.
30-06 varmint stainless with bedding and some trigger job.
I can use several loads, different bullets and powders and still go out to about 200y without changing aim.
In about 1000 shots it might need a new barrel. Not quite sure what it will be, yet.

But with factory barrel, it was almost too easy to get sub-moa
