375" 260 grain E-Tip?

Has anyone actually seen the 260 grain Nosler E-Tip in 375?

If Nosler has them, I'm avail to field test 'em on a bear this fall.... :mrgreen:

I would imagine that the E-Tip would work very well on that old boy. I've certainly had good success with them in several smaller calibers.
 
I’d like to compare them to the 250 TTSXs in my 375. I’d bet they’re excellent on heavy stuff.
 
Ya, I think the "mono-metal" bullets like the E-Tip, TTSX, GMX have really got a lot to offer hunters.

Here's the .338" 225 gr Barnes TSX that was the last shot I put into my grizz a couple of years ago, using the guide's SAKO to finish the bear at about 15 yards. Excellent performance. Recovered in the off-side hide.

I never recovered any of the 100 grain Barnes TSX bullets I shot mule deer with some years ago, using my 25-06.

I'd imagine that the E-Tips would provide similar performance.

I have yet to try the e-tip, but have shot a lot of Barnes though with great results. The GMX has been rough on me. I’ve tried it through 4 different 6.5 creedmoors that were real shooters, but I just could not make those bullets work. I do need to try out some e-tips though. Maybe one day I will buy some.

Interesting comment on the GMX. I tried the GMX in a number of cartridges without obtaining the accuracy I achieved with other bullets. That was not the case with the TSX or the E-Tip. Ballisticians at Hornady did state on a couple of occasions that a longer jump to the lands was not required with the GMX. It made no difference that I could tell whether I allowed for a longer jump or whether I loaded as I would have loaded an SST or an InterLock; the GMX just never delivered for me. I have not had a problem with the E-Tip in a variety of cartridges. It is turning into a favourite bullet for me.

Yeah those GMX just got the best of me, I just had to give up on them. I would understand if it was just one rifle I was trying, but this was 4 target rifles and I just gave up. I believe they make a 250 e-tip for the 9.3. I would like to try some of those in my 9.3x62

Western Hunter did a neat test of premium bullets a little while back. The E-tip made a great showing, as it was accurate, expanded almost immediately, penetrated well, retained almost all of its weight, and didn't foul like an all copper slug. I haven't shot anything with them, but it sure made me a fan out of them!

I would like to try them myself. I have been dabbling with the Hammer's some, the ETips have shot pretty well out of a few rifles I have tried them in. Wished they had a little heavier option for my Mashburn.
 
I've got a couple of hundred E-Tips on hand:

.257" 100 grain

.308" 168 grain

Have loaded up a few of the 168's for my 30-06, but haven't tried them yet. I'd imagine they'll do just fine.
