Just found a couple of pounds of alliant rl23 and would like to try it in my 280 rem with 150 gr ballistic tips or partitions. Not much for data out there, anyone here worked with it and have some pointers. Thank you

Haven't tried it in either of my 280s as I haven't had need to this point. However, it looks as if it would work very well. For instance,

Code:
Cartridge : .280 Rem.
Bullet : .284, 150, Nosler BalTip 28150
Useable Case Capaci: 60.002 grain H2O = 3.896 cm³
Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 3.330 inch = 84.58 mm
Barrel Length : 22.0 inch = 558.8 mm
Powder : Alliant Reloder-23 *C *T

Predicted data by increasing and decreasing the given charge,
incremented in steps of 1.0% of nominal charge.
CAUTION: Figures exceed maximum and minimum recommended loads !

RL23 was a slow start for me. I got 8 lbs of both 23 and 26 about 5-6 years. I never touched 23 till this past year. Well I’ll be darned if it doesn’t work really well and only seems to lag about 50 FPS on average to 26. It’s been very nice. Nice wide velocity nodes and not squirrely. It’s been a speedier version of H4831 in my use.
